Some Stories of Interest and Galvatron

- US to Build 1,800 Towers to guard the border

America is to build 1,800 watchtowers bristling with high-tech sensors as part of an $8 billion  programme to secure its borders against illegal migrants.

The towers will form the centrepiece of a network to be constructed by the aerospace company Boeing along the 5,000 miles of border with Mexico and Canada.

Each watchtower will be equipped with an array of equipment, including cameras, which can zoom in on suspicious movements then transmit live video to border agents with handheld computers.

- Somali Cab drivers in Minnesota refusing service to those with wine - Airport commission may color-code the lights on the taxi roofs to indicate whether the driver will accept a booze-toting fare.

Here in the DC area, I heard that some of the cab companies are searching for NON-Muslim drivers because they often have no one to take fares on Friday around noon-time. Every other cab driver here seems to be from East Africa.

  1. Wow. Now that was both amusing and insightful!! It was like watching portions of our administration here as well as al-Zawahiri types act out their rhetoric. Who ever knew that these old Transformer cartoons would be so full of sagely analogies? Well done [I'm still chuckling...FREE ME!!...].
