Not all Arabs are evil

Arabs - like everyone else - have their problems, but they should not be portrayed as a souless people that are the source of all evil. “Mainstream” pundits have even called for their extermination and are continuously invited back to media outlets to speak as a “credible” source.

Austrolabe posted an article about Arabs risking their lives to save some Jews during the Holocaust. I also found this article in US News and World Report

Since 1963, Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust memorial, has honored more than 21,000 people for rescuing Jews during the Holocaust. None have been Arab, and little has been written about the persecution of Jews in the Middle East and North Africa during World War II. It is a gap Robert Satloff, the executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, tackles in his new book, Among the Righteous, where he looks for hope in a region rife with Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism.

  1. I guess you have been reading the ignorant commenters at my site…sent via senatortombstone

  2. Yes, It is unfortunate that this campaign of de-humanization seems to be hitting full steam.

Certainly there are extremists amongst the Muslims, but to try to portray all of us as sub-humans is going way too far.

Part of the point in my posting that the extremists do not like Congressman-elect Keith Ellison (the Muslim Congressman) was that these same people are trying to portray him as an extremist.

The message is that all of us are extremists. Unfortunately with these people there is much overlap with racism, and many of them feel that blacks are sub-human too

  3. They want us all dead, not just Arabs. They call for Nazi style camps and have the nerve to call US nazis?

  4. Not to mention that Jews enjoyed a freedom and safety in the Muslim world that they never did anywhere else until the 20th century. Even then, anti-Semitism in the Arab world is a mainly Western import.
