The last few days - because of the tragedy and death - have obviously been one of introspection and thinking about past mistakes. The people in this area have been in a very solemn mood.
Ever thought about what your legacy would be if you died today? How would you be remembered? How many lives have you changed for the better? The negative? How is the community you live in better because of your presence? How would others describe you?
More importantly: how would you family carry on? Who would bury you? Who would pay for the expenses?
I’ve asked these questions before, but they are just as real today as they were when I wrote them last year. I can’t help but think of these things and that is why I can only pray for a long and healthy life
Just something to reflect on…
Thanks to everyone for all the heart warming messages that I have received thanking the Muslim community in general for their response. I can definitely say that we wish that we could do more
