So much for a “return to being a white nation”

This post presents the kind of information that the bigots that “want to return to a white America” do not want you to know.

In 1825, the US census recorded that 37% of the US population was Black (almost all slaves), 25% was American Indian, and only 38% was White. Neither the Blacks nor the Indians could vote and they were not even citizens, but so what. Massive White immigration in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s from Europe plus an immigration bill mandating that most US immigrants must come from European stock changed all of that.

We were a White-minority nation as early as 35 years after signing of the Constitution! Take that, “White America” fools! [Entire Post]

    It is stupid. I love the “go back to where you came from” line that they throw out. The same could be said for them, although I doubt the people in Dublin, London and Frankfurt would want these types.

    Mr. Lindsay has acknowledged this in an update to his blog post.

    I think it would be difficult to say whether the territory that became the U.S. had a white majority or not in say 1820 or 1830 because precise numbers for Native American Indians would be difficult to figure.

    It is not correct, however, at least according to the census that Black and White populations were approximately equal in 1825. It is true that the percentage of Blacks in the southern U.S. was close to 40 percent, but in the U.S. as a whole in 1820 it was less than 20 percent (again according to the census).

    including a breakdown state by state or by region. Certain southern states, like Mississippi were majority Black through most of the 19th century.

    You know it’s funny. I hear angry white racist’s in Australia say to immigrants “go back to where you came from.” it’s funny considering our 51% are immigrants and the fact 300 years ago they’re weren’t any white people.

    I have no problems with people going back where they came from. All whites should be deported back to Europe.
