Wanted to share this.
Which way is the bus below traveling?
To the left or to the right?

Can’t make up your mind?
Look carefully at the picture again.
Still don’t know?
Pre-schoolers all over the United States were shown this picture and asked the same question.
90% of pre-schooler’s gave this answer.
(I will give the answer in the comments tomorrow if no one else does first)

This is purely a guess, but I think it’s traveling to the right.

Can I see the back side of the bus
The kids thougt
the bus was coming toward them, it looks like the front of a bus
Bismillah.
As-salamu alaykum.
At first I was going to say that it is not going anywhere because there is no front, and no driver (you can usually see the driver). But, if one were to say anything it must be going to the left. The reason being because there is no door for the kids to get on and off the bus on this side that we are looking at here (so it must be on the other side).
Will you answer my email now Tariq?
As-Salaamu ‘alaikum,
Yeah I second Khalil’s answer - it’s going left, because the entrance is on the other side (assuming it’s an American bus; if it was British, the answer would be right, for the same reason).
LOL…. That’s cool, never thought of it that way (typical American). Well, in defense of myself, the question was asked by an American, in America.
Good thinking though Yusuf!

I say its a trick question. The bus is NOT moving. There are no lines/dashes on either side to indicate movement. Seeing that this drawing is a cartoon, it must adhere to the physical laws of cartoons!
Do I get a prize for getting the correct answer?
Br Naeem: I think it just means which way would it be going, but yes … it is facing left (if it’s in a country where driving is on the right), but it might not be travelling anywhere.
Tariq,
I want my prize that I won. Yes, I was the first. Come on!
Let’s bury our “animosity”
Uh, I think that would be me dear “gess”…
I will share with you if you like…
And the winner is…
My good friend Khalil Moore (sorry Gess)
BTW, you need to answer my email now

Hey now, I object to this ‘riddle’! Its been presented and worded in an unfair manner. You all are using real-world logic for a drawing that is clearly not representing reality.
I mean c’mon…the wheels aren’t even attached to the bus! And when have you ever seen a real bus shaped like that? Only in a cartoon, I tell ya. So I stand by my original contention that the cartoon laws of physics must be applied here.
So if anything, the million dollar prize should be split between Yusuf (who correctly stated that the bus is *facing* left) and myself (who correctly stated that bus is not *travelling* anywhere since the horizontal lines of motion are missing).
Riddle me this Tariq, will you man up and face the truth??
And I am not your friend
Nothing against you, but pity is not me. Congratulations on what ever you won
For some reason, I don’t think I “won” anything… but it did get some emails flowing between us… LOL…
it cant move
