Someone sent me this tragic story
A 6-year-old girl was found hanged inside her family’s garage and had been sexually assaulted before she died, police said Wednesday
Authorities have made no arrests or named any suspects since Hannah Mack’s body was discovered by her mother on Monday. They are saying little about their investigation.
And then there is this story today about 5th graders accidentally shown porn in school out in PG County. Some parents think that someone (the teacher?) had been previously viewing porn on the school’s computer

The Prophet (SAW) used to seek Allah’s protection for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain by saying:
146. ‘U’eethukumaa bikalimaatil-laahit-taammati min kulli shaytaanin wa haammatin, wa min kulli ‘aynin laammatin.
I seek protection for you in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil and every beast , and from every envious blameworthy eye.

An update was given on the story of the young girl who was found murdered. The boyfriend of the little girl’s mother is suspected of committing the heinous crime. So much for telling your kids not to talk to strangers when most culprits are people you know…
Maleeka,
Most victims of murder, sexual abuse, and kidnappings know their offenders - this is not news. Many young girls (and boys) are raped and molested by their fathers, step fathers, and mom’s boyfriends. Women stand a greater chance of being abused (sexually and physically) and or murdered by the man the marry, so shall we tell our daughters not to marry? A disgruntled or fired co-worker may come back and murder you, shall you quit working? Many children suffer abuse at the hands of coaches, this is a very common and easy way for them to get close to the children, earn mom and dad’s trust, as well at that of the children.
Yes, we still need to teach our children to steer clear of strangers, at the same time we ought to properly protect our children - asking the right questions, paying close attention to their behavior, being careful of whom we leave our children with, especially our girls, etc…
Naturally, we tend to let our guards down when it comes to those we know and trust. Common sense goes a lot way, but unfortunately it’s a rarity these days
