I just received a phone call from Abu Sinan who informed me that the police have found Faten and she is safe. We will update further a little later when he gets a more information, but Abu Sinan says that she suffered a psychological breakdown.
Abu Sinan and his family send their thanks to everyone for their concern and prayers

MASHA’ALLAH, ALHAMDUILLAH WA ALLAHU AKBAR! LAST NIGHT I OULD NOT SLEEP. I OFTEN WOKE AND THOUGHT OF FATEN AND MADE DUA FOR HER. I KEPT ASKING MYSELF, WHERE COULD SHE BE?” AND EVEN TRIED TO PLAY DETETIVE IN MY HEAD. I TRIED HARD NOT TO DESPAIR AND TRIED HARD NOT TO THINK ABOUT HOW MOST MISSING PERSON ASES END. AT ONE POINT I EVEN CONSIDERED THE FACT THAT MAYBE SHE WAS HAVING SOME PERSONAL PROBLEMS, BUT ABU SINAN DIDN’T MENTION THAT BEING A POSSIBLITY.
i THANK ALLAH FOR HER SAFE RETEURN. I THANK ALLAH FOR MAKING THE MUSLIMS A UNIFYING BODY WHO OME TOGTHER IN TIMES LIKE THIS. I PRAY THAT ALLAH HELP RECTIFY FATEN’S AFFAIRS AND STRENGTHEN HER EEMAAN.

Alhamdulillah, she was found safe. I was just talking to my good friend Bint Will the other day about the sadness that I felt anytime I would pass by a 7-11 or convenience store wondering about the fate of our sister. Our duas were answered. Allahu Akbar!
open the comment section under the post “denouncing the maniacs”!
what are you afraid of?
Alhumdulillah,
With all the du’as and well wishes, I am glad this story has a happy ending. Please tell the sister so many of us do care about her well being. Insha’Allah, she will make a speedy recovery. Emotional and psychological distress can be just as hard to recover from as physical wounds.
Alhumdulillah! I’m happy our sister is safe and back with loved ones. I’m happy her family has found some relief. May Allah continue to shower them in His mercy. Ameen.
Thank you all for your prayers and your actions in this time of need. May Allah help her recover and get back to her old self again.
It was wonderful to see people pull together so quickly.
Thank you from the Mawyah family.
Congrats and praise God. I hope she and her family recovers well.
I just hope she wasn’t the victim of a racist attack.
AllahuAkbar! That is so wonderful! I hope she is able to get well soon.
Alhamdulillah, May Allah give her quick recovery and grant their family Sabar.

Alhumdullilah,I am so happy the our Sister in Islam was found safe. May Allah make whatever it is that is troubling her, may he put it as put it at rest and shower her and family with many blessings and comfort during the blessed month of Ramadan.Ameen
By the time I see the post that she was missing, she’s already been found. A prayer answered before I could ask.
Please pass on my best wishes to the whole family.
Alhamdullilah, Good news.
Forgive me for asking, but wasn’t her so-called “disappearance” voluntary?
http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0907/457479.html
That would imply that she voluntarily left without informing her family and perhaps feared the repercussions if she did tell them that she was gone (in the company of a man, nonetheless).
I understand her family’s concern, but at 26 she is a woman, not a child, nor the possession of her family.
Ya Habibi, Ya Abu Sinan, i think you have got the jist by now. you cannnot contniue to supress someones desire to express themselves through subjecting them to your ways of life. As you i was born into the world of islam, but when i became an adult i choose to leave (which as you know entitles you to kill me). My parents were supportive and there are no hard feelings. Indeed the honesty and acceptance has enchanced my relationship with them. It is obvious that your sister in law was doing the same. The fact that you went nuts asking god for her to be found and that she had run away volintarily and was found with someone obviously is the same type of thing as my experience. If you love your sister in law listen to her and accept who she chooses to be. Do us all a favour, spend your time listening and accepting rather than blogging and imposing your belifs on people who dont agree with you.
(which as you know entitles you to kill me).
No It doesn’t
