Muslim Family Day goes off without incident
Some anti-Muslim bigot from Florida was trying to allege that the Muslims were doing some kind of insidious plot at Six Flags (like riding roller coasters, eating and having family fun is not possible for Muslims) However, much to his surprise I am sure, there was nothing going on there except people having fun…
Ten to 15 people held signs and stood outside the entrance to Six Flags Over Texas on Sunday afternoon to protest a family day organized by the North Texas Islamic community. A group of three to nine other people showed up, possibly to counter protest, but the two-hour protest was peaceful, police said.
Inside the park, hundreds of families celebrated with halal food and prayers during an event sponsored by the Islamic Circle of North America and other area Muslim groups.
Some of the groups were granted a temporary restraining order Friday against the organizer of the protest, Joe Kaufman, chairman of Americans Against Hate. The order prohibited him from threatening, harming or inciting violence against anyone associated with the outing, according to court records.
Jamal Qaddura, president of the DFW Islamic Educational Center and a spokesman for the local Muslim community, said 9,000 tickets were sold. The number of people who attended could not be confirmed with Six Flags officials Sunday.
“If you come inside here, you will see families and children,” Qaddura said. “This is just a family gathering. We are a peaceful organization.”
If he wants to protest something, then let him go to protest small fringe groups like New Trend Magazine’s (?) “Jamaat al-Muslimeen” or “The Islamic Thinkers (?) Society” who represent the other side of the coin that he is on. No, people like him have to target regular people who happen to be Muslim and try to paint them as if they are part of the fringe elements

Good post! I pray Mr. Kaufman reads this!
It boggles the mind that a group called Americans Against Hate would protest a peaceful Muslim outing. Maybe they meant American Haters Against___________ (fill in the blank)
The title caught my attention and made me giggle lol. I’m very surprised AAH had nothing better to do than rant like dogs at peaceful cats.
