Homegrown: Islam in Prison

Someone sent this to me:

HOMEGROWN: ISLAM IN PRISON
Part of the PBS “America at a Crossroads” series.

Radical Islam has spread through prisons in Europe.  But will this militant mindset become “homegrown”, and threaten the United States?

Homegrown: Islam in Prison examines a crucial question: are U.S. prisons incubators for radical Islam and terrorist ideology?  We look at an alleged terrorist plot that was hatched in a California prison in 2005.  We meet prison imams, and talk to inmates who claim that Islam has given direction and purpose to their lives. With overcrowded prisons offering little rehabilitation and a population that might be vulnerable to radical ideologies, should prison reform become part of our national security policy?
