…at the National Building Museum in DC will be on February 16, 2008. The Building Museum has many nice events for children throughout the year. Click here for more information. It is part of Engineer’s Week

    As salaamu alaikum:
    Shukron for posting this event, I hope that some families will take the opportunity to come out and learn and experience the various activites for FREE!
    Most of our children don’t receive this type of scientific exposure whether they attend a public or private school.
    We’ve gone for the past 2 years and really enjoyed it and the children love the hands-on activities. Insha Allah it will be just as exciting this year!
    Oh, the event and activities are free, there is a small cafe and souvenir/bookstore in the Museum.

    The event web-site is up all year, with pictures and projects to do at home. http://eweekdcfamilyday.org/ Check out the pictures — lots of kids having fun, no one telling them they can’t be whatever they try hard enough to be. For one moment, in one place, we were all one thing - the perfect thing to be - Engineers! ;-)
