Rest in peace great warrior.
[...] Malcolm X on Islam and Race February 21, 2008 — Dr Esam Omeish Malcolm X on Islam and Race (hat tip: Tariq Nelson) [...]
There aren’t a lot of great Civil Rights Heroes that are left in this world like Malcolm X. Either they are dead too frail to fight, or these days are only in it for themselves. He was a great family man, a brilliant leader and a man of high principles. You just cannot find a leader who had sincere purposes in being in the Civil cause like you could with Malcolm.
As salaamu alaikum,
It is so odd that I was discussing Malcolm at work today. We were discussing just how much we appreciated him. So odd that I did not realize that today was the date he left us.
Thanks for sharing.
-Salaams
May Allah bless his soul and elevate his rank to one of His beloveds. Ameen.
May Allah give him the best rewards of Jennah.
It was Malcolms’ biography which led my husband and I to Islam.
And that Ossie eulogy…I don’t think I have ever been able to listen to that eulogy without sobbing like a baby.
