Commercial flights are scheduled to begin 2010 from the Spaceport America in New Mexico. Current ticket price is around $200,000

    It’s for real and the price is certainly for real!

    the state already had a national vote on the matter and it passed with great support.

    They already started contruction and should bring in decent revenue for the state. You can’t go to space for cheaper than 200k. So work your over time now to secure your seat.

    If I had 200K to spare on something like that, I’d still wait a while … until they’d worked all the kinks out. My mama didn’t give birth to a guinea pig!

    Fascinating as the trip may sound, that is money that I could use to pay off my bills and if it wasn’t for the econonic crunch, enough to get me a house.
