Herndon Without Hunger Program

I encourage everyone to donate what they can. Those that would like to help FAITH’s programs, please read below
1) Herndon Without Hunger Program
Would you like to be a part this effort? FAITH is raising awareness about hunger in the community and the Prophet’s (sallallahu alayhe wa sallem) teachings about charity and feeding the hungry.
For the past 3 years, FAITH has distributed food during Ramadan. We are expanding the program to include food distributions in other months of the year too.
This week, insha’Allah, FAITH will donate groceries to the local shelter (Embry Rucker). We have budgeted $500 to make grocery bags for approximately 25 families. Based on what the shelter needs, we are planning to give: Salt, sugar, cooking oil, vinegar, hot chocolate, and mac & cheese.
We plan to also include a flyer with some ahadith emphasizing the importance of charity and feeding the hungry.
Can we count on your donation for this cause? This month’s effort costs $500. You can also donate towards our Herndon Without Hunger program held in Ramadan insha’Allah.
Please make a note if you intend your donation for “Herndon Without Hunger”.

FAITH is an excellent organization, I know some of the people behind-the-scenes at FAITH and they are dedicated and hard-working.
I participated with a group a sisters from the Dar us Salaam community in College Park, last Ramadan in the Herndon without Hunger program and there was a huge turnout of people from many different religious and ethnic backgrounds.
