Times Getting Worse
Posted on April 27, 2008 by Tariq Nelson
The skyrocketing gas prices have caused the price of everything else to climb - including food. The Washington Post is calling it a global food crisis.
No need to worry though (if you are in the US). Those economic stimulus checks are coming early.

“No need to worry though (if you are in the US). Those economic stimulus checks are coming early.”
LOL, yeah right, hakuna matata!!!!
Those stimilus checks are coming at the same time as those rebates for the HD TV converter boxes….any one smell the irony.
Give them BREAD and give them CIRCUS!!!
Bush just admitted that this is not a stimulus; it’s a partial refund for victims of Bernanke’s inflation.
Yep! band aiding the solution always works( only in Bush’s mind)
Assalamu alaikum, and not everyone will get those stimulus checks, if you have debts, or back child support, etc., then you won’t get them. And even if you do, for me anyway, that money is going to catch up on bills! So my “stimulus check” won’t be “stimulating” anything!
But you know, when he gave that other rebate back when that tax cut amendmet was passed my mom supported him because as she put it “no one’s ever given me any money back”. So I guess if you throw a little crumbs at us, we’ll just forget what a wreck the people in power have made this country.
The chickens have come to roost. We deserve what we get for being excess with our resources.
It pains me to see Muslim families owning large SUV’s for no reason other than commuting to work.
If this means being more efficient, then I’m all for it.
InshaAllah the next President of the US will change and help fix the mess or begin to fix it.
Presidents can’t make gas prices cheap.
How about we tell India and China to stop using cars? lol
Ginny,
I agree. Bush just want to pacify the American people with a rebate check and think that we will overlook the problem. I hate to bust his bubble, but people are not as naive as he is. Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of getting some free money, but at same time, most of us will be putting it in bills. Even expert economists are telling people to save their cash because of the crisis.
Nancy Pelosi was saying that the people should get another rebate check and that Ben Bernanki was slashing down interest rate by another point. If we keep passing out rebate checks( and the ” free” checks is borrowed money on their part), we’re going be bankrupt. We need a stabilized economy with secure jobs and affordable living, not a pacifier. Bush not going buy my “love” with these checks. Until he can do the following, he will never have my vote.( What I’m talking about?I still wouldn’t vote him. I’m a Democrat)
