White Nationalist Raises Ugly Head Again
UPDATE 05/16/08 7:00AM: Mr. Gaubatz showed what kind of person he really is in the comments. By the way, Mr Gaubatz, wild and baseless charges pulled from the sky that I support terror groups (your M.O.) will not stick here. My position is very clear and well known. Some Muslims have issues and we work against genuine threats to our country, but I will sit here and let you get away with lying on innocent people in order to make a name for yourself. Criticism is one thing. SLANDER is another.

As some of you may know, last year a white nationalist organization by the name of SANE wrote a lying hit piece on the Dar Al-Hijrah community that contained many outright lies and distortions. However, since I exposed their lies and uncovered their openly white supremist views, they have been dormant and have not similarly attacked any other Muslim organizations with their paranoid filth as they promised. People of good will (Muslim and non-Muslim) rightly condemned this vile attempt to caricature the Muslims as all being terrorists and dangerous to America.
However, over the past few weeks the director of that effort has been trying to make a little noise and has spread some vicious rumors about the Northern Virginia Muslims from his little read cyber kennel to which I will not link. It is sufficient to know that major anti-Muslim bloggers have not even given this nut’s paranoid rants the light of day.
Instead of completely ignoring him, I have decided to keep a running score of his antics as “updates” from last year’s refutation of his garbage. You can read it here. Refer to it when you see this clown’s name (David Gaubatz) or if he slanders your community

You’re right that It is important to expose the lies of people like this. What is even more important is to not allow them the ability to make these things up. Had it not been for the efforts of brothers like yourself in community outreach and transparency in the Muslim community, much of what this person and those like him says would probably have gained traction.
This is an important lesson for us to remember: We have nothing to hide and we need to make the Masjid and all muslim activities more open and hospitable.
