This week, I wanted to share this inspiring story (via Halfdate) a woman who suffered from two heart attacks but is still working to make a difference in her community. Many have been touched by her story and this kind of resilience is what I think of when I think of the Muslim volunteer. But she needs your help.

Please remember that with the MWP business there is only one person.. me.. doing all things for the business so first  I am putting together info to send out, have begun enlisting help from writers in one pro organization and a writers egroup, and then I can move forward with sending information to school representatives.

My Background:  I reverted to Islam in March 2000. I retired from a 25 year career as a law enforcement officer in November 2000. I suffered my first heart attack several months after retirement ending my plans to become a teacher in retirement. Chronic back pain from an on the job injury years ago makes walking difficult and painful for me. I suffered a second heart attack and Allah in His mercy spared my life but my heart is permanently damaged. I have since also developed several stomach and intestinal chronic
diseases. Add all this up and I am pretty much home-bound and manage my work and business from my home. My one person publishing business does not have any outside or family employees or helpers. I am computer challenged when it comes to web work so I have a paid web admin who manages my websites, updates them and keeps things going for me with them.

I am working a fast as I physically can and will do all I can to help make this opportunity HalfDate is providing a success with the help and guidance of Allah.
