Using Western technology to promote murdering and maiming all Westerns, the terrorists have allegedly built an impressive internet propaganda wing to recruit more Muslims into becoming irrational killers or inspire naive Muslim converts like these two to throw their lives away for a murderous organization of criminals and thugs rather than cleaning up, getting their lives together and living life as a decent and productive citizen. Somewhere in a cave the leading nutballs are reading about this and laughing at these “stupid blackies”(”abeed”)
A man who planned attacks on military installations and synagogues in the Los Angeles area for an Islamic terrorist cell was sentenced Monday to 22 years in federal prison for conspiring to wage war against the United States.
Levar Haney Washington told a federal judge in Santa Ana that cell members “flirted with the possibility” of attacking targets but no longer believe “a military solution is possible” because “it belies reality.”
Washington, a convert to Islam, and three other defendants were members of Jam’iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Saheeh, a radical Islamic organization formed in prison by cell leader Kevin Lamar James. The group is better known as JIS and had no connection to al-Qaeda.
They may not have had any connection to the most famous group of thugs, but they seemed to have been inspired by them and their murderous version of Islam. Sad part now is that he will have to think about this for the next 22 years. Our message to people like this should be to get their lives together instead of chasing these nutty fantasies
Washington and Gregory Patterson, another cell member, were suspected of robbing about a dozen gas stations in Los Angeles and Orange counties over a month’s time. Federal prosecutors said they intended to use money from the robberies to finance terrorism.
“The Caravans!” Another pernicious dogma pushed by these criminal groups: The believe that it is permissible to rob non-Muslims in order to finance terror. It is real and it is real dangerous.
I hate these people passionately. They mean none of us any good whatsoever. It is time that the Muslims realize that these people are trying to make Islam into an evil, sick and wicked death cult of nihilists. If they don’t kill us, they want to turn us into mindless eunucs while turning our female relatives into sex slaves.
Did I mention that I hate them? Well, let me say it again…I HATE THEM!!!! I HATE THEM and I HATE THEIR EVIL WAY

Unfortunately, I have been to the masjid with these two idiots.
I remember this christian group outside the Masjid giving out pamphlets telling us about the coming of Jesus.
It is primarily a Desi masjid in Inglewood which predominately black and hispanic.

Yep! I could just imagine how in, one sense, terrorist are happy about their cause being supported, but also laughing knowing that these fools are making complete fools of themselves. They are atotal embarrasment and disgrace to the human race and the God. It’s a crying shame how they can pervert the word of god into their own sick meaning.
It’s also important for people to recognize that just because someone is on “our team” i.e. Muslim, that they’re not automatically the good guy. A lot of converts have this problem. They are so carried away, particualrly in the early days of their conversion, by those born into the faith and deeply embedded in Islamic cultures that they will do anything to gain favor and prove their devotion.
I was on another forum, briefly, where they made it known that they considered converts a joke who couldn’t possibly be “real” Muslims. There was a lot of laughing and snarky joking on that site, but it was an education. Several people mentioned that they, and they actually said this, pretended to like the converts to get them to clean the mosque and do other low end tasks nobody else wanted to do, but that they rolled their eyes and laughed at them behind their backs. This is low end human behavior not isolated to low end Muslims and we have seen it in all kinds of groups. The point is, we should not overlook this kind of behavior and attitude in an attempt to fit in. Nor should we take up an impassioned cause for the opportunity of downloading and venting our own life’s frustrations, and be duped into becoming somebody else’s stooge.
Having been a convert for a good while, I have seen a lot of very troubling trends. I had one moron, an American woman, yell at me, on a forum, for “daring” to question the taliban and spreading lies about them, when all they wanted to do was bring back a pure Islam. This is not the kind of person Islam, or western Islam wants as their poster child. But she was a damaged woman who was projecting all kinds of protection fantasies onto a vioent degregation of the sexes. This is scary. But this is the kind of ingredient that is more and more going into the mix. We should feel sorry for this kind of person, yes, compassion, yes, but solidarity, NO.
I meant to say that the Masjid is mostly Indian and Pakistani but it is located in an AA and chicano community on a residential street.

@Ron LOL. Did you change it to sound more politically correct? I’m not digging at you, just find it funny.
One of the drawbacks of being non-centralised is that every convert’s initial journey is slightly different. Those who managed to learn their initial Islam from undesirable types unfortunately have no way of knowing that there are shades of gray in Islam.
Your Creator is well able to distinguish between His true holy warriors and criminals, and while He hates what they do, He does not hate them.
Hate the sin, not the sinner. Hating the evil they do is fine, but if you begin to hate them, that is a tiny step on a road that leads to becoming what you hate — and, as humanity has demonstrated time and again, that road is very much shorter than we may think.
Cheers, my friend!
Salaam Tariq,
Thought you’d appreciate this: http://ilmcast.com/violence-in-the-name-of-god-21.htm
It’s a talk about extremism by Shaykh Waleed Basyouni entitled “violence in the name of God”
Like Karen said, just because someone says they are Muslim doesn’t make them good. Sh.Waleed does a good job of explaining this and brings up several examples of extreme groups of the past.
Take care, and may Allah protect you. Ameen.
This is an aside, naturally, but I think you should reconsider your use of the phrase “Western technology”, because there really is no such thing.
India accounts for 40% of the global IT market. There are huge numbers of Muslims involved in both the software and hardware sides of IT. Japanese companies made massive developments in portable computer technology. Most of the the hardware that supports the Internet itself are manufacturered in China, Taiwan and other non-”Western” countries. Much of the current development of Web2.0 technology is also coming from non-”Western” countries.
There is an amount of arrogance in the notion that this technology is “Western”. It might sound good in Silicone Valley, but it is far from a reflection of reality.
The internet was begun in the West from my understanding. Either way, the point is that they are using technology from people that they want to kill. They would just as easily kill people from all the countries you listed
That would be Silicon Valley. Silicone makes me giggle (I’m not picking on you, its just seems funny to me), perhaps Silicone breasts might be more appropriate
The internet was indeed started in the ‘West’, in fact the beginnings of it were financed by the US military (for all some of you may have to say about US dominance/military power, there’s actual a whole lot of positives that have come out of it).
Despite a good chunk of Asia being involved in the products related to IT, most of the original ideas are still developed in the West. I would also dare say that Japan has been a part of the ‘West’ since shortly after the Second World War.
As an aside, let me be clear that this isn’t exactly a situation I support or am bragging about. Ideas being developed in the West and manufactured in the East represents a modern form of servitude to me.
It isn’t hugely funny. The name derives from the silicon(e) chips developed there. I can’t help it if Americans insist on imporving the English language all the time. It’s a good job I didn’t talk about computer programmes.
Anyway…
“Either way, the point is that they are using technology from people that they want to kill.
Just as they are using their ideology, perphaps. Collateral damage is not a Muslim construct. It surely owes more to the RAF’s bombing mission of Hamburg (Operation Gomorrah) in WW2 than to anything of our tradition. As I understand it the use of Greek Fire, the precursor to modern explosives, was held as haram by our scholars.
Appropriation of the tools of others seems to be just par for the course.
Silicon is the element used in semiconductor manufacture which is where the Silicon in Silicon Valley comes from. Silicone is a rubber like polymer substance used in a bunch of products.
In this case, its not a British English vs American English issue, not like Aluminium vs Aluminum.
