UPDATE: The voters in Memphis gave Ms. Tinker the smack down and overwhelmingly voted to send Steve Cohen back to Congress. Cohen won 79% of the vote, while Ms. Tinker only won 19%. Well, it was the Democratic primary, but he should easily win the general election in the fall.
“It says Memphis has come a long, long way and that people who were counting on racial voting to prevail are thinking of a Memphis that doesnt exist anymore,” Cohen said.
Now all they have to do is get rid of the 2-bit dictator running that city and they may be able to move forward.

For those that do not know, Memphis, TN is one of the most (if not THE most) racially polarized cities in the nation. Having lived there for years, I would know. That is why the video below caught my attention.
Congressman Steve Cohen who has over 30 years of service in the community and is running for re-election, should be a shoo-in, but a despicable woman named Nikki Tinker is running on the platform that she is black and therefore is owed the Congressional seat.
It is not often that Memphis politics makes national news, but Nikki Tinker is such a piece of trash that she has been named “Worst Person in the World” by Keith Olbermann for her over the top nonsense
If Nikki Tinker wins the election tonight - which considering the mayor of that town is a distinct possibility - the fiefdom of Memphis get exactly what they deserve (again).

Between the two, after viewing Mr. Cohen’s shoving match and disparaging remarks toward Armenian Christians I would say Ms. Tinker is the best bet.

Anybody who questions a candidate’s lack of support for a street being named after a KKK member, especially in this case, a woman of color, needs to lose the race. That has got to be one of the most stupid, ill thought question that Nikki could ever ask .” Why didn’t Steve support a street being named after a KKK member?” Duh! does Nikki think that the KKK is some level headed religious group or is she is really that dumb?
