The skyrocketing gas prices have caused the price of everything else to climb - including food. The Washington Post is calling it a global food crisis.
No need to worry though (if you are in the US). Those economic stimulus checks are coming early.

When you read the article below on drop out rates, think about the fact that in 2006, the poverty rate in the US was 12.3 percent. For whites, it was 8.2 percent, but for blacks, it was 24.3 percent.

As I stated earlier, the people seem to be tiring of the vilifying of the Muslims. We all agree that extremism must be dealt with, but smearing all Muslims is going too far. On the other hand, I feel that Muslims are also tiring of anti-Western demonization as well.
